Position Overview:

The Inventory Planning Manager - DRP is responsible for creating value for Trilliant Food by maximizing service and minimizing losses through effective inventory processes. This position is focused on both immediate risks as well as supporting long-range planning. As part of IBP, the Inventory Manager will enable future planning by maintaining strategic inventory policies, inventory position visibility, and driving actions from Key Performance Indicator visibility. This role will utilize Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system and Power BI tools to analyze and manage activities involved with maintaining proper inventory levels at all designated locations for assigned product lines.

Purpose of the position: Improve inventory positioning across the network, Align supply with demand at all distribution points, Reduce stockouts and excess inventory and Enable better coordination between manufacturing and distribution.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* Lead the execution of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) to ensure timely and efficient inventory deployment across company-owned manufacturing sites, co-packers, and distribution centers, with a focus on CPG products, including short shelf-life products.

* Develop inventory strategies that balance freshness, availability, and waste reduction by aligning supply with dynamic customer demand and promotional activity.

* Partner closely with co-packers, 3PLs, and internal supply chain teams to manage production scheduling, replenishment planning, and in-transit inventory visibility.

* Familiar with different Manufacturing Strategies, such as Make to Order and Make to Forecast.

* Monitor inventory health using key metrics such as days of supply, spoilage rates, and forecast accuracy.

* Drive data-informed decisions to optimize working capital and service levels.

* Own the inventory planning calendar and product flow execution, ensuring compliance with shelf-life constraints, lead times, and customer-specific requirements.

* Maintain systematic inventory policies to achieve organizational performance targets (safety stock, inventory levels, lead times, reordering points, minimum order quantities, etc.)

* Make target-to-actual gaps in Inventory Days of Supply, Fill Rates, and Excess Inventory Sales visible to help drive performance in the IBP process.

* Report on the health of current on-hand inventory levels (aging, excess, quality issues, ABC, etc.)

* Support inventory build program visibility and strategy relating to seasonal capacity constraints

* Facilitate periodic reviews of inventory policies such as Build Plans, Safety Stock Targets, Run-outs, etc.

* Lead cross-functional teams in review of inventory shortage outlooks and drive service improvement strategies

* Demonstrate leadership role in analyzing and presenting key strategic initiatives to Supply Chain leadership.

* Member of the cross-functional existing and new product teams. Develop and execute the supply chain portion of cross-functional project plans for new product introductions, restages, and discontinuations. Ensure supply chain considerations are included.

* Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain leadership teams to optimize efficiencies and service.

* Review sales and finished goods inventory data in partnership with sales, operations, or customer service team members to adjust plans as needed to respond effectively to unexpected sales trends and/or inventory balances.

* Key member of Supply Planning process providing recommendations on how to strategically use inventory to drive cost and efficiency improvements.

* Participate in ERP design and optimization team.

* Lead Inventory Steering Committee

* Support inventory run down plans and utilize the Can Build Reporting tool in Power BI

* Assist in applying financial measures to IBP Process as it relates to Demand & Supply

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Management, or related field

* APICS Certifications are a huge plus: CSCP, CPIM or CLTD

* 6+ years professional experience in Supply Chain or related Planning Areas

* 4+ years professional experience in a Make-to-Order and Make-to-Forecast manufacturing environment

* Planning process experience utilizing an MRP/ERP/IBP solution

* Microsoft AX ERP experience preferred

* 4+ years of inventory management experience

* Consumer Packaged Goods experience with multi-site & multi-distribution center locations

Hours and Pay:

Position is a straight 5-day week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and will be based at our facility in Little Chute, WI. We offer a competitive base pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
