Licensed Nurse Assistant - Critical Care Technician - Intensive Care Unit

POSITION SUMMARY

• Under the supervision and/or direction of the Registered Nurse, the Critical Care Technician performs various direct and indirect patient care activities in accordance with the Nursing Department policies and procedures.

• The Critical Care Technician is able to assist with the care of any hospitalized patient and may be assigned other functions in accordance with hospital/department policies, procedures and protocols.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE

• High School graduate or equivalent.

• Successful completion of 75-hour Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program.

• Registered in the State of Vermont as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.

EXPERIENCE

• One year of previous experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant is required.

• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

• Must demonstrate ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
