Job DescriptionSummary: Produces various reports for upper management. Prepares and files sales, use and 1099 tax returns. Reconciles various General Ledger accounts including intercompany. Manages fixed asset inventory for the pipe group. Participates in inventory reconciliation, audits, and budgets. Supervises up to 5 direct reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full-time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Hire, train, and oversee staff in the department and instruct new hires within the company and providing constructive and timely performance evaluations. QualificationsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required, OR a related Associates degree plus ten years' accounting/finance experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Computer Skills: Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Windows, MS Office programs and applications for word processing, email, database management and spreadsheets. Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets general business information. Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Mathematical Skills: Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is usually required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and peripheral vision. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
