Summary and Objectives: The Sales Support Associate provides a range of administrative tasks that directly support the sales department in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers to ensure that the department can meet its growth targets. This is a remote position. Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- CRM system management of leads/prospects and clients.
- Nurture new leads through our defined processes.
- Following up with return business clients and entering, managing, and scoring all leads daily.
- Ensure that client and prospect data is up to date in our CRM.
- Lead and monitor the client re-engagement follow up cadence.
- Provide backup support to sales team for client and prospect inquiries.
- Coordinate, schedule, attend, and take notes for sales calls as needed and as directed by the Vice President of Revenue, Marketing, Managing Partner, an SME, and the assigned/associated BDR and/or SDR. Coordinating internal meetings between colleagues, teams, or divisions, as needed.
- Create and generate sales reports.
- Support the sales team in the development of proposals and client agreement support.
- Assist with the creation of proposals, SOWs, NDAs, MSAs, reports, presentations, and additional sales documents
- Entering and closing opportunities in the CRM.
- Responsible for uploading all in progress and executed agreements within our systems for tracking purposes.
- Collaborating with the Director of Operations and/or CBIZ legal team on the documents listed above.

- Remain knowledgeable of the organization's products, sales policies, and procedures.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and execute related duties.
- Design and manage business project logistics in line with business requirements
- Prepare and present proposal and communications for internal and/or external clients
- Resolve a full range of client and vendor requests
- Research and assemble data
- Provide guidance and outcome data to management on area of expertise
- Share in training on subject matter
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficient in MS Office, with working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce and/or ConnectWise is a Plus).
- Highly developed organizational, planning, and management writing skills and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- High energy, drive, achievement orientation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of sales or customer service experience.
- Detailed planning and time-management skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a subject matter expert
- Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Effective customer service skills
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
- Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $55,000 - 65,000 annually. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position. The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
