JOB DESCRIPTION

The Expert Insights Solutions Specialist will collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to use advanced analytics in the development of insights utilized to inform data-driven decisions leading to positive business outcomes. The Specialist is responsible for creating analytical models, data visualizations and analytics solutions - rooted in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning - using enterprise tools and datasets to deliver insights from advanced analytics to business partners. This job is responsible for solving high-impact business challenges and interesting business problems through rigorous data analysis, predictive modeling, and design of complex analytic solutions for the Enterprise and standing up cutting-edge analytical capabilities to be shared across Delta. In this highly analytical role, this position will generate innovative ideas, create hypotheses, design quantitative analyses and experiments, build predictive models using ML techniques, deliver solutions utilizing on artificial intelligence, and generate business insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds advanced analytics solutions utilizing artificial intelligence, using Python and prompt engineering techniques to deliver analysis, insights, and recommendations.
  • Conducts exploratory data analysis, mine data (e.g., clustering), and prepare modeling datasets from multiple data sources. Build, validate, and implement predictive models using machine learning algorithms (e.g., Random Forests, GBM, neural networks, SVM, Naive Bayes Classifier), as well as traditional statistical modeling techniques (e.g., time series forecasting, linear and logistic regression).
  • Conducts statistical analyses, design in-market experiments, respond to ad-hoc requests from business partners to identify/quantify opportunities or address specific questions.
  • Utilizes SQL, Python and other programming language to perform advanced-level data extraction, transformation and data management; fully document and manage library of source code and algorithms for future use.
  • Presents model results and analytic findings, lead discussions, provide insight and actionable recommendations to business partners to support data driven and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Works with complex databases, conduct research to identify data issues, propose solutions to improve data integrity; perform other database-related analyses and projects as requested; collaborate with data engineers to help optimize data retrieval processes to support ML algorithm automation.
  • Works directly with aligned business partners and assist in requirements definition, project scoping, timeline management, results documentation and operationalization.
  • Mentors junior data partners and advises team members.
  • Presents and visualizes data insights to stakeholders in a comprehensible manner.
  • Shares best practices to analytics teams across enterprise and provide consultations to business partners on data-based solutions and experimentations.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of proven, relevant experience delivering advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning solutions. Two or more years of AI development experience preferred. Experience working in Agile preferred.
    Expertise in advanced analytics, including machine learning, statistics, and data science.
  • Expertise in using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions.
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SQL, and Python.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven ability to drive each project to completion with minimal guidance while effectively managing multiple projects at a time.
  • Professional certifications in data science tools preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, and problem-solving skills with high attention to details and accuracy. Ability to solve complex technical problems to support effective business strategy.
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable presenting to all management levels.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in a role requiring collaboration across multiple functions within a large, complex organization, strong business acumen, ability to think strategically and build effective business partnerships.
  • Ability to distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand frameworks and presentations.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 22. $92,500 - $200,400
