As an organization, our purpose is to build unbreakable relationships with our customers, partners and especially our employees. We are looking to add the right people who will support our company mission, vision, and values. We are currently seeking a VP of Manufacturing to join our team.

What You'll Do:

As the Vice President of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing and executing the overall manufacturing strategy to meet company objectives. You will manage operations for Recip and Rotary production, oversee manufacturing engineering, production scheduling, and facility maintenance, and ensure that all activities align with our goals of operational efficiency, cost control, and lean manufacturing practices. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will also play a critical role in shaping the future direction of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies, objectives, and goals that align with the overall company strategy.
  • Operational Excellence: Optimize production flow to minimize cycles, reduce waste, and achieve cost-effective manufacturing while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Directly manage a team of managers and supervisors overseeing key areas including production operations, engineering, and maintenance. Inspire and develop the next generation of manufacturing leaders.
  • Safety & Quality: Collaborate with the SHEQ Manager to ensure robust safety and quality control systems are in place, achieving optimal safety, and minimizing failure costs.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of plant buildings, equipment, and facilities to support both current and future operational needs.
  • Financial Stewardship: Maintain strict cost control measures while balancing business growth, labor efficiency, and resource optimization.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred. An advanced degree such as an MBA is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, with a track record of success in manufacturing and people management.
  • Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
    • Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
    • Strong data-driven decision-making capabilities, including experience with KPI tracking and analytics.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (experience with BPCS-AS400 is a plus).
    • Ability to effectively communicate complex data to executive leadership.

Why Join Quincy Compressor?

  • Leadership Opportunity: As part of our executive management team, you will shape the future of our manufacturing operations and contribute to the company's long-term success.
  • Innovative Environment: Work in a dynamic and growing organization committed to innovation and operational excellence.
  • Collaborative Culture: Lead a talented and dedicated team that values collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment:

This role requires a presence on the shop floor as well as in the office. Safety is a top priority, so personal protective equipment (safety glasses and steel-toed shoes) is required when working in production areas.
