As a Practice Director of Managed Services at Netsmart, you will lead the strategic direction, execution, and performance of a defined portfolio of Managed Services engagements that drive operational excellence and client satisfaction across the health and human services landscape. You will be accountable for ensuring service quality, financial performance, and scalable delivery operations that align with Netsmart's mission to improve care through intelligent technology and services.

In this high-impact leadership role, you'll oversee service delivery teams, guide client-facing operations, and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Executive Leadership to meet evolving client needs. You'll cultivate strong C-suite relationships, refine delivery models, and ensure continuous value realization for Netsmart clients. This role is ideal for a performance-driven leader with a passion for healthcare innovation, operational leadership, and measurable impact at scale.

Position Responsibilities - Practice Director, Managed Services

  • Own the overall P&L and operational delivery of a defined professional services practice, ensuring client success, revenue growth, and margin attainment.

  • Lead the execution of implementation, optimization, and managed services engagements across multiple client organizations within the health and human services and post-acute care markets.

  • Drive strategic planning, operational excellence, and resource alignment to meet defined KPIs, engagement milestones, and delivery quality standards.

  • Build, mentor, and scale high-performing consulting teams; foster a culture of accountability, client-focus, and continuous learning.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to shape service offerings, influence go-to-market strategy, and support business development activities.

  • Serve as executive sponsor for key clients; develop and sustain trusted relationships with C-suite stakeholders to drive long-term partnership and growth opportunities.

  • Champion delivery methodology improvements and standardization to ensure consistency, scalability, and measurable value for clients.

  • Lead forecasting and resource planning for delivery teams to ensure efficient utilization and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Drive continuous client engagement and feedback cycles to identify evolving needs and introduce value-added services.

  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and professional development efforts to build consulting capabilities aligned with strategic objectives.

Position Requirements - Practice Director, Managed Services

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, consulting services, or enterprise solution delivery, with 5+ years in a leadership role.

  • Proven expertise in managing full-service delivery teams, including project managers, consultants, and technical resources, in a complex services environment.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery models-preferably within behavioral health, human services, or post-acute care domains.

  • Demonstrated success in P&L ownership, business planning, forecasting, and operational scaling in a high-growth environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field (Master's in Business Administration preferred).

  • Deep experience in client engagement and consulting methodologies, including enterprise implementations, optimization, and long-term managed services.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills; able to align cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to solve complex business challenges while balancing client and organizational priorities.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in fast-moving environments; experience working with geographically distributed teams.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to support client engagements and team leadership activities.
