As a Sr. Systems Administrator I, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's computer systems and servers. Key responsibilities include designing, installing, and configuring computer systems, servers, and networks, monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues, implementing and managing security protocols and policies, providing technical support and leading technical projects, and overseeing server and network infrastructures and ensuring smooth operation.
This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems and technologies.

What you'll do:



  • You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT Infrastructure.
  • This role combines hands-on systems administration with strategic leadership, aligning the company's modernization efforts with reliability, security, and performance.
  • You will work closely with an external managed service provider to guarantee service delivery of user support and server maintenance tasks.


What you'll need to succeed:



  • 4+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator role.
  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat/Linux server administration and maintenance
  • Ability to monitor and coordinate activities of Managed Service Provider in maintaining infrastructure and supporting users.
  • Able to lead, mentor, and manage a Helpdesk Technician.
  • Able to plan, design, and implement technology solutions to meet organization needs.
  • You can maintain and execute security procedures and disaster recovery plans, working with a Managed Security Services Provider.
  • Ability to maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and operational metrics.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors to ensure proper maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Able to troubleshoot problems and ensure the optimal performance of all network hardware and equipment, including servers, storage devices, and network devices.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend third-party solutions, changes in technologies, and new technologies as necessary.
  • Experience coordinating with other departments to ensure IT infrastructure meets organizational goals.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal regulations.


SALARY RANGE: $78,000.00 - $108,000.00

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:



  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:


    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
