Overview of this Position:

The Applications Systems Administrator supports applications utilized at Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing, both on-premises and cloud hosted. This is an on-site position with occasional on-call requirements for after hours and weekend support.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any Science related area (IT, Engineering, Biology, etc).
  • 2+ years of experience with Application support or specific focus on Document Management, Calibration Management, ERP, industrial automation, or any mission critical software package.
  • Ability to apply project management skills to effectively lead departmental projects spanning a number of functional process areas.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years in a regulated field dealing with FDA and DEA.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs for API facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, clean rooms, utility systems and packaging operations.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration management procedures.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards as it relates to qualified applications.
  • Follow up on support requests proactively to provide timely updates and resolutions to users.
  • Work with software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. Coordinate and communicate with impacted stakeholders as needed.
  • Work with Computer Systems Validation personnel to apply application version upgrades in a timely manner and configure/add new services as needed.
  • User administration, including creating, changing, and disabling user accounts per approved procedures.
  • Work with existing process owners to deploy new modules, providing advanced training to support process owners becoming module power users.
  • Work to develop reports, based on needs of end users and management, to enable efficient real time reporting.
  • Support multiple applications across multiple departments each with unique requirements.
  • Attend Application Specific Project Meetings as needed to ensure proper sourcing, planning, and implementation of new applications.
  • Develop and distribute appropriate training materials to end users.
  • Participate in an On-Call rotation as needed.
