Summary:
Implements projects in the areas of LAN connectivity, integration, data security, performance, support and training. May also be responsible for voice and data services on various platforms

Responsibilities:
* Evaluate LAN hardware, software and services to support Division requirements for connectivity, integration, data security and performance
* Install/Test new software and hardware
* Work with Facilities Department on office and equipment moves
* Manage VPN access, pagers, cabling and connectors installation
* Support and train end users in all shift production atmosphere and support weekend work as needed
* Provide support of Windows backend services (email, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and Network Hardware
* Work with designs and programs for Software applications
* Perform software maintenance including upgrades, configuration changes and patches
* Maintain backups and backup procedures
* Support LAN performance analysis and forecasting
* Manage data, including archival/removal or outdated/unused files
* May work with external customers relative to installing customer networks
* Coordinate the evaluation, recommendation and procurement for hardware and software
* Assist users in daily network problems
* Optimize PC and LAN hardware/software configurations
* Support Inter-network connectivity
* Plan and implement Disaster Recovery
* Define and enforce Company Data Security policies
* Diagnose and find resolutions to hardware/software problems
* Establish LAN/Server Performance Analysis and Forecasting
* Assist in establishing and implementing LAN policies, procedures and standards
* Minimal travel may be required for training purposes, approximately 5% of which may include overnight travel
* All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.

Other information:
* 3-5+ years of systems network experience
* Leadership position at a small site; Multiple or large site (600+ employees and associated revenue/customer base
* Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including day, overnight and international travel, as required
* Proficient skills to trouble shoot, interpret, analyze and implement improvements to all network issues
* Effective organization and prioritization skills
* Effective interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to complete projects in a timely manner
* Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
* Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism when representing the company
* Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills
* Ability to work individually or in teams
* Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools
* Ability to travel day and overnight, as required
* Participate in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format

Education:

* 4-year technology degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
