Job Title: Member Services Representative Location: Professional corporate office located in Roseville, CA, 95661
Pay: $20-$29/hr depending upon experience Schedule: M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Start Date: September 8th *Position Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Member Services Representative to support our healthcare members with eligibility, benefits, and claims inquiries. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to manage high call volumes in a fast-paced environment. *Key Responsibilities* * Respond to member inquiries via phone, in person, and written correspondence * Explain plan benefits, eligibility, claims processing, and appeals * Draft eligibility, sick leave, and basic medical appeals as needed * Initiate and process forms including COBRA, self-payments, stop payments, and claim notices * Maintain accurate documentation of all member interactions * Verify and update member information in the system * Act as a liaison between members and providers to facilitate claims resolution * Calculate sick leave banks and confirm dependent documentation * Assist with special projects and refer members to appropriate departments *Sample Call Duties* * Answer calls using a headset * Conduct HIPAA verification and surveys * Handle provider eligibility and enrollment requirement questions * Process carrier and dependent coverage changes * Update other insurance and dependent documentation * Explain wellness step requirements and health risk questionnaires * Track all interactions in the member's profile *Required Skills & Qualifications* * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum 1 year in a high-volume call center (60+ calls/day); healthcare experience preferred * Strong communication, grammar, and basic math skills (percentages, ratios, etc.) * Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Thank you for considering this opportunity and please apply directly with an updated resume. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
