Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager. The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing operations related to U.S. Navy Target Control Systems (TCS) and Target Auxiliary/Augmentation Systems (TA/AS). This role involves oversight of system design, development, integration, configuration, and prototype fabrication in support of full- and sub-scale target platforms. The Senior Operations Manager ensures effective maintenance practices, system readiness, and hardware support while coordinating across the Navy's Competency Aligned Organization (CAO) and Integrated Product Team (IPT) structures. This position requires in-depth knowledge of Navy System Target Control components and associated hardware, as well as proven experience managing complex engineering and operational initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with U.S. Navy Target Control Systems (TCS) and Target Auxiliary/Augmentation Systems (TA/AS)

  • Experience supporting:

    • Maintenance

    • Engineering design and development

    • Prototype fabrication

    • Systems integration and configuration for full and sub-scale target platforms

  • Knowledge of:

    • U.S. Navy's Competency Aligned Organization (CAO) structure

    • U.S. Navy's Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure

  • Familiarity with the following System Navy Target Control (SNTC) components:

    • AN/DSQ-50A

    • AN/DPN-88

    • AN/DPN-90

    • RT-2109

    • RT-2140

    • GSQ-228

    • Automated Test Equipment (ATE)

    • Multi-Asset Test Set (MATS)

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee operations involving TCS and TA/AS, ensuring mission readiness and performance of systems across all supported platforms

  • Direct prototype development, systems integration, and hardware configuration for installation in full and sub-scale target platforms

  • Ensure maintenance procedures align with engineering standards and support system reliability

  • Collaborate with Navy IPTs and operate effectively within the CAO structure

  • Provide technical leadership on SNTC components, ensuring alignment with Navy requirements and standards

  • Supervise, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams involved in system development and support

  • Oversee lifecycle support activities, including installation, testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting

  • Ensure timely and compliant delivery of technical documentation and program reports
