Job Description: As the Manager of Crew Hotel & Transportation at Southwest Airlines, you'll lead a dedicated team responsible for ensuring our Pilots and Flight Attendants have seamless, reliable accommodations and transportation throughout their journeys. Overseeing a 24/7 operation, you'll manage hotel and transportation logistics during both regular and irregular operations, proactively resolving issues and partnering across departments to minimize operational risk. With a focus on Crew well-being and compliance, you'll guide Supervisors and Schedulers in securing rest accommodations, maintaining up-to-date hotel information, and supporting Crew Scheduling needs. This is a high-responsibility role ideal for a strong operational Leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional support to our frontline Teams.

Responsibilities
- Provide Positively Outrageous Service while supporting all Crew Hotel & Transportation initiatives and functions
- Provide support to Inflight and Flight Operations Crew Scheduling Teams, Pilots, and Flight Attendants by solving any hotel and transportation related issues as they arise
- Conduct research and handle special projects as assigned by the Senior Manager to support the goals and objectives of all Crew Scheduling initiatives
- Liaison to all areas within Crew Scheduling and represent Crew Hotel & Transportation as directed on various meetings, and committees
- Responsible for timely Crew Member advocacy/resolution on any Crew Hotel and Transportation logistics and Irregular Operations issues
- Provide timely and detailed briefings to Crew Scheduling, Inflight and Flight Operations Leadership regarding irregular operations, emergency response, and Crew Member issues/concerns to uphold operational integrity
- Act as Senior Manager designee and be accountable for all initiatives, functions, and responsibilities within the scope of the Crew Hotel & Transportation Team
- Oversees and is responsible for the daily functions of the Crew Hotel & Transportation Team, including proper staffing and training of New Hire Associates
- Responsible for ensuring the Crew Hotel & Transportation Team collaborates with all necessary internal departments and outside parties to eliminate operational challenges involving hotels, and transportation
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to ensure external partnerships with hotels and transportation vendors are meeting expectations and following all contract guidelines
- Skilled in handling and resolving administrative tasks
- Skilled in working under tight time constraints to complete tasks
- Ability to read documents, follow instructions, learn and understand office procedures, Pilot and Flight Attendant work rules, and applicable Federal Regulations
- Ability to lead, partner, and drive decisions regarding crew hotels and transportation that affect both Inflight and Flight Operations
- Ability to articulate complex situations and scenarios into actionable steps
- Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to handle demanding/difficult Customers
- Ability to effectively develop and performance manage Leaders within the direct Team
- Ability to use computer software programs to retrieve, input, modify and/or save information
- Ability to develop and present to a wide range of audiences including all levels of Leadership
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
- Fully functioning, broad knowledge in
- Customer Service
- Working in a Crew Scheduling or Call Center environment
- Airline Operations
- Collective Bargaining Agreements
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary or sensitive Company information
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive market salary from $110,900 to $123,200 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
