Gorman & Company is looking for a passionate, driven Development Project Manager to support the planning and execution of affordable housing projects across Colorado. This is a dynamic role for someone eager to make a long-term impact in community-focused real estate development.
What You'll Do:
- Support new and existing affordable housing developments from concept through financial closing and completion.
- Manage pre-development efforts including site selection, application materials, entitlements, zoning, community engagement, and QAP evaluation.
- Prepare development status reports and coordinate closely with finance, design, and construction teams.
- Build strong relationships with municipalities, non-profits, landowners, and community organizations.
- Review architectural and construction plans to ensure compliance with design standards, funding requirements, and green building goals.
- Assist with government and grant applications for funding, respond to feedback, and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Participate in conferences and community events that support Gorman's mission and projects.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in affordable housing development, preferably with LIHTC or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of state and federal housing programs and their compliance requirements.
- Excellent project coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to travel locally, visit job sites, and attend public meetings as needed.
