Summary/Objective
Ideal candidate will work as an Instructional Systems Designer within a multi functional team to design and develop interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) and Instructor Led Training (ILT) courseware and associated training products. They will collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs), other instructional system designers, multimedia developers, 3D artists, systems/software engineers, and stakeholders to develop and deliver courseware..
Essential Functions
- Designs learning content throughout the ADDIE life cycle
- Review/analyze task data to determine learning needs and outcomes
- Applies effective training methodologies to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities based on the needs assessment of the audience and job task analysis
- Reviews technical manuals and other materials to summarize and structure for use in instructional materials
- Develops learning objectives, test questions, and other training development artifacts
- Works with SMEs to develop engaging learning scenarios to provide realistic context for learning objectives
- Designs, develops, and implements evaluation and assessment instruments
- Designs interactive learning activities supporting the individual's performance requirements and develops storyboards in support of those activities
- Develop and support course materials including lesson plans, course of instructions (COI), handouts, presentation material, trainee guides, and test packages
- Implement comments from internal and customer reviews
- Work within schedule constraints to achieve assigned objectives
- Leverage and adhere to relevant Navy training Instructions, Manuals, and Guidance

Desired Skills and Requirements
- Master's Degree in instructional design, adult education, or similar program. Proven ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.

- Ability to obtain a security clearance

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
Travel
Travel may be required; estimated to be 1-2 trips for 1-2 weeks a year.
Required Education and Experience
Master's Degree in instructional design, adult education, or similar program.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an instructional designer or instructor.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Security Clearance of Secret level or higher.
Must be a US Citizen
