Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer. The Engineer provides technical expertise and applies state-of-the-art engineering principles and technologies to meet critical mission requirements. This role supports the development, integration, and evaluation of complex systems and solutions across various engineering disciplines. The Engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges and ensure project success in alignment with performance, safety, and operational standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., systems, civil, electrical, electronic, chemical, industrial, mechanical, aeronautical, avionics, environmental, or computer)

  • 1-20 years of engineering experience in a relevant technical field

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams and independently on assigned tasks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Master's degree in a related engineering or technical field (may substitute for a bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience)

  • Ph.D. in a related engineering or technical field (may substitute for a bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification

  • Experience in government, aerospace, defense, or high-tech engineering environments

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply engineering principles and state-of-the-art technology to solve complex technical problems and meet mission objectives

  • Design, develop, test, and evaluate systems, components, or processes to ensure compliance with specifications and standards

  • Support system integration, implementation, and troubleshooting efforts across various stages of the project lifecycle

  • Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

  • Collaborate with other engineers, scientists, and project managers to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with project goals

  • Analyze data and recommend modifications or improvements to enhance system performance or reliability

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in the relevant engineering field
