Business Operations Associate Director - Talent

The Talent Business Operations Associate Director serves as a strategic advisor and trusted "chief of staff" to the Chief People Officer. This role oversees key business operations within the Talent Solutions function-including preparation for TS Town Halls and Talent Council meetings-and leads strategic, cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with enabling functions and TS leadership. Additionally, the Associate Director acts as the primary Talent Solutions liaison for corporate development, provides critical support during periods of unexpected business demand, and brings fresh, innovative thinking to enhance the way Talent Solutions delivers value to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive culture across Talent Solutions through tailored BU communications, town halls, and other strategic engagement methods.
  • Begin each day with a holistic view of the function, focusing on identifying common needs and uncovering cross-functional opportunities.
  • Lead workforce planning and oversee organizational structure changes within Talent Solutions, ensuring alignment between evolving work requirements and job design.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and advisor to the Chief People Officer, contributing insights that shape Talent's direction and impact.
  • Manage and track progress on key projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of initiatives as assigned.
  • Act as the primary Talent liaison for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures-supporting all phases from due diligence through integration.
  • Ensure Talent's compliance with procurement policies and processes, serving as the owner of these protocols.
  • Oversee proper usage of iCertis to support contract negotiations and resolve issues, ensuring alignment with compliance standards.
  • Drive the development and implementation of tools, processes, infrastructure, initiatives, and metrics that enhance Talent Solutions' operational effectiveness.
  • Represent Talent Solutions on cross-functional teams and committees, offering operational and financial expertise to advance firm-wide goals.
  • Lead the preparation of Talent Solutions meeting content and contribute to the creation of impactful communications, reports, and presentation materials that leverage data, analytics, and insights.
  • Provide change management support to Talent leaders, enabling smooth transitions during periods of evolution and transformation.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in HR, talent, or operations, including 3-5 years in a Chief of Staff, operations, or transformation-focused role.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into action, with a successful track record of leading cross-functional talent initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Comprehensive expertise across the talent lifecycle, including workforce planning, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong operational acumen, with deep experience in planning, financial oversight, and project management.
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leaders and distill complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working in professional services or matrixed environments, with a solid grasp of client-service culture and dynamics.
  • Proficiency in people analytics and HR technologies; experience with Workday strongly preferred.
  • High comfort level with AI tools and daily use of technologies like ChatGPT to enhance productivity and innovation.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000.00 - $262,400.00 per year.
