PAY RANGE: $67,802 - 84,752

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position has responsibility for marine fabrication data analysis and technology management. The individual provides interface between project management, operations, and other Vigor departments.Through project team and business leaders, manages the application of process and technology across multiple shipyard locations to assist in better-than-bid project results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key requirements and duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
  • Projection and analysis of current and future staffingneeds for estimating, project management, craft management, and other internal and external customers
    • Develop and manage production specific software systems
    • Support of Lean Fabrication improvements
    • Technology and business systems training for project managers, superintendents, and production craft leads on data, and business system
  • Assisting the planning department in development of work packages.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
The position has no direct supervision responsibility..

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
BS in one of the following technical disciplines is required, engineering, any trades, and supply chain or business management.
Minimum three (3) years of experiencein planning, staffing, coordinating and profitably executing multi-trade, extensive, labor-intensive, multi-phased projects.
Experience using ERP, scheduling, and analytic software to preform planning, scheduling, and analytical functions is required.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrated financial savvy as it applies to labor-intensive fabrication management.
  • Analytical abilities necessary to develop and maintain integrated schedules and supporting data.
  • Ability to work in a software intensive environment including analytics, data processing, and programing.
  • Strong knowledge manufacturing process planning.
  • Understanding of integrated schedules and how they interact spanning multiple projects and locations. Uses a systems approach to work planning and execution.
  • Effective communication skills that span the customer, project, and business population. Skilled at acquiring knowledge through asking the right questions.
  • Strong entrepreneurial outlook with a clearly demonstrated sense of ownership over both the process and the results.
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach to problem-solving and business systems.
  • Capable of effectively handling multiple priorities on own with little or no supervisory guidance.
  • Ability to positively influence results outside of his/her direct lines of responsibility.
  • Leads special projects spanning entire business organization
