Mortgage Systems Administrator Location: Westerly, RI | Hybrid Eligible
Washington Trust is seeking a Mortgage Systems Administrator to support the administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of our mortgage lending systems, with a primary focus on the Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS). This role plays a key part in ensuring system reliability, improving operational efficiency, and supporting compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
System Administration
- Administer, configure, and maintain the Encompass LOS and related mortgage technology platforms.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
Process Optimization
- Analyze workflows and system processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into system enhancements.
Reporting & Data Management
- Develop and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports to support mortgage operations.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Project Management
- Lead or participate in projects involving system upgrades, feature rollouts, and automation initiatives.
- Coordinate with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
User Support & Training
- Provide end-user support and training for Encompass and related systems.
- Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.
Additional Responsibilities may include:
- Manage attorney vetting and approvals through Secure Insight.
- Oversee daily tasks related to appraisal orders and appraiser communications.
- Collaborate with the Mortgage Disclosure Specialist on HMDA and compliance-related inquiries.
- Support Compliance and Internal Audit teams with system-related requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in mortgage or consumer lending, with hands-on experience in loan origination systems (Encompass strongly preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and accountability.
- Deep understanding of Encompass LOS administration, including workflow configuration, business rules, and user management.
