JOB SUMMARY

This position will have responsibility to ensure that all required logistical and administrative support is provided to effectively coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities at respective plants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures

  • Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility

  • Management of purchased and fabricated inventory of M.R.O. supplies and tooling

  • Manage vendor's delivery and services of equipment. (Both leased and purchased)

  • Manage and generate bill of materials for key processing equipment, such as sprockets, pulleys, belts, etc.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Including the management of spare parts warehouse and inventory.

  • Negotiation of prices on products and services, under limited supervision. Work to develop consignment inventories with vendors.

  • Safely operate sit down forklift as needed

  • Provide supporting information for budgeting and cost control, as requested.

  • Provide field assistance to maintenance personnel for parts identification, replacement, and minor upgrades.

  • Create requisitions for approval for purchase of spare parts and non-spare parts within SAP and purchase orders from released requisitions (in adherence to Westlake policies and procedures).

  • Create work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance work.

  • Ensure that parts and tools are ready to execute work orders.

  • Work with Maintenance Manager to schedule work orders efficiently ( man hours, work sequence, minimizing downtime, etc.,.).

  • Provide Standard operating Procedures to mechanics/electricians so work can be completed efficiently and safely. Where SOPs do not exist, help lead the Permit to Work Process for non-routine work.

  • All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Inventory Management

  • Basic Electrical

  • Basic Mechanical

  • Negotiation / Purchasing

  • Data Administration

  • Auto Cad (optional)

  • Blueprint reading (familiarity)

  • Machining Processes

  • PM knowledge (preferred)

  • SAP (preferred)

  • Microsoft Office

  • Experience operating forklift

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • At least 5+ years prior experience working in a similar role

  • 5 years of experience in Data Administration, inventory management and engineering services

  • Maintenance

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable

  • Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out

  • Prolong standing or in stationary position

  • Complete repetitive movements

  • Bend and/or twist

  • Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities

  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)

$50,000 - $52,000 per year

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The pay range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be offered as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
