Overview

The position is in the newly formed AUKUS Program Office working for the International Programs Program Supervisor supporting several Australian Shipbuilding efforts. The position will uplift the Royal Australian Navy and the Australian shipbuilding industry with technical, logistical, and programmatic support in building and maintaining nuclear submarines; via the United States Navy. In the Program Office you will be exposed to all facets of the Electric Boat enterprise including Design and Engineering, Planning, Finance, Contracts, ITAR, Construction, and Facilities. You will encounter new challenges every day where you can gain expertise and leverage your experience in new ways. The Program Office defines the overarching goals for a program and establishes the tactical and strategic plans to get it there.

This individual will be responsible to establish budgets and tasking, develop - and ensure compliance with - policies and procedures, conduct training, produce various metrics and status, develop a foreign workforce, and/or uplift a foreign supply base.

Candidates will be expected to have frequent interface with US and foreign customers and comply with federally mandated import/export regulations. There will also be frequent interface and coordination with EB functional groups (Legal, Security, Contracts, and Finance).

This position will be based out of Groton, CT. Occasional foreign and domestic travel may be requested, but not required.



Qualifications

Required:

    Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience with material procurement, purchasing, engineering, planning, workforce development, operations, program management, and/or vendor management

Preferred:

  • Experience in program management, especially with a focus on establishing new programs and/or supply chain management
  • Previous experience with import/export controls and/or international programs

  • Well-developed organizational, interpersonal, and communication skill
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and orally
  • Ability to create executable policies and procedures and ensure compliance
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter capable or working independently or in a team environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive program success and meet key milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong, credible relationships with international stakeholders and partners
  • Monitor program performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Prepare and present program reports to senior management and stakeholders
