RN - Pre-Op/PACU - Carmel Valley

This is a benefited, full time position working 64 hours per 2 week pay period. The start time will vary from 0545--900 and is located at Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley. No weekends or Holidays, but does require call (two shifts per week).

This position is eligible for new hire and relocation Incentives up to $7K.

Responsibilities include: Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience. Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice. Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting. Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration. Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your letter

Required

• Current California RN License
• Completion of accredited RN program
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must have rapid patient assessment skills and critical thinking skills
• Must be patient centered, flexible, and team spirited
• Current American Heart Associate Healthcare Provider BLS certificate and ACLS certificate.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Additional requirements vary according to specialty and duties performed in business unit

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic Experience
• Critical Care Experience
• Prefer 2 years of RN experience in outpatient Pre-Op/PACU/ED/ICU/Procedural areas (cath lab, interventional radiology)
• BSN
