Description This client is seeking an experienced Ecommerce Project Manager to join its Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) team. This team is fully funded through the end of the year, with strong expectations that the initiative will extend into a multi-year program. The D2C team plays a critical role in the client's evolving digital strategy, focusing on marketing and selling directly to consumers-a relatively new approach for the company, introduced just 5-6 years ago. Historically, the client has relied on retail partners. However, as consumer buying behaviors shift toward digital channels, the client is investing heavily to remain competitive in the ecommerce space. The pandemic significantly accelerated this transformation, with the client's D2C ecommerce presence experiencing a remarkable 500% growth in 2020. More consumers are now purchasing directly through brand websites, coordinating delivery and service directly with the company. Currently, the client is embarking on a major re-platforming initiative for its D2C websites, internally referred to as Project Prometheus. This high-priority, multi-year effort has the full backing of executive leadership, with other initiatives being paused to ensure its success. The existing D2C platforms are built on SAP Hybris and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). However, these systems have become overly customized and complex, prompting the search for a more streamlined, scalable solution. the client is in the process of issuing RFPs and aims to select new platforms by year-end, with implementation start in the following year. The Ecommerce Project Manager will play a key role in driving this transition forward. Since the core implementation is scheduled to begin next year, this individual may initially contribute to other strategic initiatives.
