Job Title: Deployment Technician Location: Austin, TX (with travel up to 50 miles) Pay Rate: $20-$21/hr Contract Length: 3-4 months (expected to end by early December) Start Date: August 11, 2025 Openings: 4-6 Technicians Work Type: On-site, field-based Position Summary: We are hiring multiple Deployment Technicians to support two major IT initiatives across healthcare facilities in the Austin area. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for candidates who enjoy technical work and local travel. Key Projects: 1. YubiKey Rollout * Visit clinics and hospitals to verify and install required software on end-user computers. * Use a provided USB troubleshooting tool for updates and installations. * All support is in-person-no remote or phone support. * Travel schedules are planned 1-2 weeks in advance. * Smaller clinics typically take 1 day; larger hospitals may take up to a week. 2. Device Deployment & PC Refresh * Assist with deploying 400+ new devices before year-end. * Support imaging, equipment setup, and delivery to deployment sites. * Less travel than Project 1, but still requires local mobility. Requirements: * Minimum 1 year of IT support or deployment experience. * Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. * Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. * Willing to travel up to 50 miles (approx. 1 hour) around the Austin area. * Mileage is reimbursed at $0.70 per mile for travel between worksites during the workday. Travel from home to the first site and from the last site back home is not reimbursed, unless the distance is unusually far-handled on a case-by-case basis. * Ability to lift and transport IT equipment (up to 50 lbs). * Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background and drug screenings, as well as employment verification.
