Position Summary |
This is an entry-level position reporting directly to the Head Electrical Engineer. The incumbent will assist in the design, design development, field verification, and construction administration of additions, alterations, renovations, and repairs to electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and medium voltage distribution. This role primarily supports projects within existing University buildings. Most of the work will be conducted under the direct supervision of the Head Electrical Engineer and in close coordination with other members of the Engineering Department team. The position will involve drafting in Revit and AutoCAD, performing voltage drop calculations, developing construction documents, and reviewing submittals and shop drawings. The successful candidate will design in accordance with the appropriate codes, and standards required per the state of Georgia. |

* Ability to use Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of AutoCAD 2018 or later
* Ability to analyze and trouble-shoot complex problems.
* Knowledge of the principles of electrical engineering.
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
* Able to work in a team environment
* Willing to learn |
