MARKETING PURSUIT COORDINATOR The primary role of the Pursuit Coordinator is to position the company to win business in the markets in which it currently operates, as well as future new markets. The Proposal Coordinator reports to a Pursuit Manager and is a key team contributor in leading project teams through the proposal phase in winning work. This position's primary responsibility will be proposal and presentation development for pursuits and other project opportunities. Additional responsibilities can include development of proposal materials, strategy implementation with business development, and content generation during the pursuit phase. He / she is a versatile talent with a strategic mindset, a high level of attention-to-detail, and a natural ability to raise the questions that need to be asked to isolate and deliver impactful messages. Qualifications: Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of relevant work experience in marketing or communications-related roles
- Proficiency working in Adobe InDesign
Preferred:
- 1-4 years of marketing professional services, commercial construction, &/or proposal development
- 3+ years of experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Success in working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Professional Services industry experience such as construction, architecture, engineering.
- Industry experience including federal, industrial, high tech and life science, data centers, and healthcare.

Office and Travel: This is a low-travel position based out of any of McGough's offices or ability to work remotely. Depending on location, occasional in-town travel and overnight travel may be required. Responsibilities and Tasks: Proposal Development & Presentations:
- Assume responsibility for meeting critical deadlines on behalf of the company
- Lead the internal proposal development schedule and coordinate deadlines with stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate kickoff meetings to outline RFP requirements, define responsibilities, and set timelines.
- Develop proposals and presentations on behalf of the company in the pursuit of project opportunities
- Lead internal meetings independently, coordinating and influencing participation from cross-functional individuals of all position levels (including executives) and driving the selection of messages that will compel proposal and presentation audiences
- Collect and update relevant content (e.g., resumes, project sheets, boilerplate text).
- Draft or edit narrative content, executive summaries, and cover letters.
- Ensure proposals are compliant with submission requirements, including format, page limits, and delivery method.
- Counsel staff members and provide a 'winning' approach to business pursuits and interviews
- Finalize and package submissions-digital or print-ensuring brand and quality standards are met.
Qualifications & Marketing Collateral Maintenance:
- Maintain and regularly update standard marketing materials, including:
- Employee resumes with relevant project experience
- Project data sheets and case studies
- Firmwide qualifications documents and project lists
- Coordinate with project teams to gather project updates and photographs.
- Ensure consistency in voice, formatting, and branding across all materials.
Interview & Presentation Support:
- Collaborate with business development and operations teams to prepare interview materials for shortlist presentations.
- Assist with presentation design using PowerPoint, InDesign, or other tools.
- Help develop interview themes, storyboards, and talking points that align with the pursuit strategy.
- Coordinate logistics for rehearsals, print materials, and technology needs.
Pursuit Strategy Support:
- Participate in pursuit strategy sessions and client intelligence gathering.
- Research clients, competitors, and industry trends to inform pursuit planning.
- Support go/no-go decision-making by compiling relevant project history, win/loss data, and alignment to strategic goals.
Database & Content Management:
- Input and manage data in CRM or proposal tracking systems (e.g., project history, pursuits, client contacts).
- Tag and archive final submissions, graphics, and templates for future use.
- Organize shared folders and file structures to ensure easy access for marketing and business development teams.
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between business development, operations, and marketing departments.
- Provide ongoing updates to stakeholders about proposal progress, deadlines, and content needs.
- Support onboarding of new team members or partners to the proposal process when needed.
Event & External Marketing Support:
- Assist in preparing promotional materials for industry events and conferences.
- Help organize trade show materials, displays, and handouts.
- Coordinate post-event follow-up materials (e.g., thank-you emails, capability statements).
Other Duties:
- Actively contribute as a member of the Pursuit & Marketing Team, collaborating to support shared goals and objectives
- Attend company and project meetings, pursuing ongoing personal and professional development to enhance skills and performance
- Collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution
- Actively support and participate in Lean events, promoting the McGough Way and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and project success

The role also requires occasional visits to construction sites, where the employee may be exposed to dust, dirt, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures. *** In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer. Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
