Head of Ecommerce- Interim Mat Leave Coverage


Reporting directly to the into the CEO, the Head of Digital & eCommerce will play a strategic role on the leadership team in driving the company's eCommerce business. Head of eCommerce will be responsible for Ecom financial performance and site maintenance through ensuring experience, merchandising, and content all deliver on goals while also ensuring customer service and operations ensuring customer experience delivers. Head of eCommerce will partner closely with finance, merchandising, operations, marketing, creative, design, operations, external agencies/partners and the entire leadership team. In this role, you will provide thought leadership, communicate strategic direction and execute a successful eCommerce / digital growth and commercial plan.

Role will support team from Sept - Feb to ensure smooth operations and execution while current VP is on maternity leave. Role positioned at 20-25 hours a week with flex and need for additional support during key commercial events, especially throughout November & BFCM (~35 hours a week).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead the eCommerce team to operate and deliver on goals and key strategies to support the P&L and Growth Plans. Key conduit to team and SLT.

* Drive and Lead Commercial Plan and Black Friday Cyber Monday execution. Serve as a liaison between leadership team and executional teams to ensure strategic positioning to execution is flawless and we are achieving financial and operational goals.

* Manage and coordinate all marketing communication efforts through all digital channels

including but not limited to email and mobile platforms. Ensure sales and margin goals are met.

* Develop and foster effective relationships with cross-functional business partners including Marketing and Creative to support in execution of Acquisition and Retention Marketing efforts

* Support and Lead retention team in driving retention through site experience, email, media, search sms in close partnership with Marketing and Creative

* Participate in key milestone meetings to ensure eCommerce influence and execution drives against financial and assortment goals

* Work closely as a thought partner and executional support to Head of Marketing, with focus on site and performance marketing.

*Support and lead team in ensuring Customer Journey onsite is optimized and supports experience and brand positioning/ storytelling while delivering commercial goals

*Lead and foster relationships with Developers, Outside Agencies, Tech Partners, etc to ensure we are improving and evolving site experience.

*Lead weekly eCommerce business meetings with ability to take insights and drive and support action with team

CANDIDATE CHARACTERISTICS

* Experience leading Ecommerce business and team, responsibility with P&L, Team Leadership, Site Experience.

* Familiar/ Experience with Shopify from reporting to site management, as well as key technology partners including ESP, Product Recommendations, Search, etc

Experienced, data-driven with a consumer-first focus. You have a strong track record of using

analytics to provide strategic recommendations and drive growth for direct-to-consumer businesses

* An exceptional communicator, leader and collaborator. You're effective at influencing cross-

functional teams and can articulate your thoughts to everyone from individual contributors to

top execs.

* Organized/detail-oriented; team player/ solution-oriented approach.

* Strong analytical skills, proven ability to consume and understand data, work with decision

analysts to get to clear results and analysis.

* Proven ability to successfully articulate and address complex business issues and opportunities.

* Skilled at promoting collaboration and driving problem resolution across all levels of a business
