We are looking for a part-time/Full-time Campus Attendants/Security to bring their passion for helping others to Saint Therese - IHM Senior Living Community. We provide a home for seniors who want to live in a place that has the full continuum of care - meaning residents can move into independent living and then as their care needs evolve, they can move to assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or stay in our short- term rehab center. We are a five-star facility licensed by Medicare and Medicaid and staffed by people who have the experience and passion to provide exceptional care.

Positions available include working every other weekend and every other holiday:



  • Working 8:00pm - 7:30am



The Campus Attendant will act as a liaison for residents, staff, public, and visitors entering and exiting the building after normal business hours. The Campus Attendant will also monitor the security of the building by routinely performing checks of entrance locations and the security systems including answering and transferring phones as needed. At times light maintenance or housekeeping tasks may be performed as well.

Qualificiations:

Education:



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older


Experience:



  • Related work experience in a similar position and/or security type position.
  • Customer Service skills preferred


Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:




  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of organizational security and ability to learn and understand mission critical building systems.
  • Knowledge of life safety guidelines, and of laws and regulations that affect staff and visitor policies, procedures, rules and operations.
  • Knowledge of technology and door access systems
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic computer and technical abilities.
  • Ability to handle conflicts, make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations
  • Basic general awareness of building operation.


Physical Demands:




  • May spend long hours sitting, walking or standing
  • Occasionally lift/push/pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs
  • Rarely lift/push/pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle building keys and open doors.
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms
  • Visual acuity due to spending long periods of time viewing building monitor software and/or computer screen.
