Ignite Intern Program

Our 11-week, full-time Ignite Intern Program offers a comprehensive overview of the Selective organization, along with specialized training in your assigned business area. This program includes:

Knowledge and Requirements

• Must be a self-starter, able to take direction and follow instructions. Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and perform under pressure.
• Must have the ability to multi-task successfully.
• Must have proficient PC skills specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Candidates should be working towards an applicable degree, for the internship they are interested, in their field of study preferred. Relevant classroom experience in Accounting, Actuary, Audit, Bonds, Claims, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing and/or Underwriting preferred.
• Presentation skills and attention to detail a plus. Desire to work for Selective Insurance after graduation preferred.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma required. Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level.
