Job Duties: Associate, Credit Risk with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Work on live transactions including lending transactions, and derivative trade approvals, both of which require a credit approval to confirm the acceptability with the associated risk and ensuring it is appropriately aligned with our risk appetite. Understand the key risks of the business and its potential weaknesses by writing key credit considerations. Review commercial and financial due diligence which gives a significant overview of the company's financial performance, competitive landscape, sustainability of performance, and market size/growth trends. Assess the borrower's credit rating based on both qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial analysis through ratios and forecasts. Escalate challenging transactions that fall outside of risk appetite to Risk Managing Directors (MDs) and Industry Level Approvers (ILAs). Negotiate documentation terms for Credit Agreements, International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA)/Credit Support Annex (CSA) agreements. Monitor the portfolio closely and risk manage throughout the life of the exposure. Participate in quarterly high-risk review meetings, impairment analysis reviews and regulatory exams. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: regulatory risk rating requirements including Shared National Credit Program (SNC); financial agreements including International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA)/Credit Support Annex (CSA) agreements and Lending Credit Agreements; financial modeling including forecasting and auditing free cash flow models; analysis of Quality of Earnings (QoE) reports, due diligence reports, and financial statements; and assigning internal credit ratings and outlooks.
