As the Commercial Strategy Manager for our Technology group at Aspen Technology, you will work with key team members on the software go to market strategy and other programs for the Aspen Technology portfolio within our Systems and Software business. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role focused on aligning commercial efforts with business objectives and market opportunities.

Your Impact
- New Product Introduction: Work together with Product Managers to develop got to market strategies for new products, aimed towards accelerated adoption.
- Growth Strategy: Work together with Product Managers to develop and refine go to market strategies for scaling our AspenTech Enterprise Operating Platform (EOP) with a focus on our data fabric vertical (Inmation).
- AI Strategy & Development: Shape and drive the go to market strategy for our AI initiatives- both through the development of an external-facing AI Marketplace (including monetization models, partner engagement and ecosystems growth), and by helping to embed AI capabilities directly into our software portfolio through strategic feature development, differentiation and go to market alignment. Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align our go-to-market approach.
- Market intelligence: Synthesize internal data and external market insights to inform strategic decisions and positioning,
- Operational Alignment & Collaboration: Identify, develop and support new processes, initiatives, and communications and lead change management activities as required. Work with functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives with execution capabilities.
- Performance building & Tracking: Define success metrics and work with the Technology Operations teams to track performance and identify opportunities and levers for acceleration.
- Executive Communication: Regularly present program status updates to executive leadership. Prepare strategy reviews, business cases, and executive presentations to support decision making and investment priorities.

What You'll Need
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, MBA or equivalent is plus.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in strategy, business operations or commercial roles.
- Proven ability to analyze complex portfolios and identify strategic growth opportunities.
- Strong Business acumen with a deep understanding of go-to market models and value drivers in industrial software businesses.
- Demonstrated accountability, ownership, high energy and drive to achieve results.
- Intellectual curiosity to keep current on new market trends and make learning a priority.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task and be able to prioritize and balance many activities to adjust quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Critical thinking with the ability to quickly gain consensus from a wide variety of stakeholders and drive programs to the next level.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% and to work flexible hours to accommodate both local and remote sites.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proven history of working across a variety of groups in a large organization preferred.
- Previous experience with strategic planning, strategy development or sales & marketing preferred.
- Previous experience working in or with industrial markets (e.g. manufacturing, energy, infrastructure) preferred.
