Job Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Provides such direct services as counseling, psychotherapy, education, crisis intervention, case management services, etc. 2. Documents all service-related activities, including time spent per activity per client, mileage accrued, charting, staff notes, etc. 3. Participates in supervision and/or professional development activities. 4. Participates in Quality Improvement or CKY-wide activities. The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. EDUCATION * Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Special Education, or Human Services. EXPERIENCE * Three to six months of volunteer work or structured, experiential learning (e.g., practicum or learning lab) in field of behavioral health or developmental disabilities. * Good interpersonal skills. * Basic knowledge of mental health, chemical dependency or developmental disability issues. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS * Position has no unusual physical demands. * Position may occasionally require walking or standing, stooping or bending. * May involve occasional exposure to threat of bodily harm (e.g., from clients or their families). * Normal work tasks involve no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue, but employment may require performing tasks on an unplanned or occasional basis that involve exposure to those substances. * May require driver's license. Within the bounds of their respective job descriptions, all staff are expected to exercise principle-centered leadership, focused on customer service responsiveness, with a continuous quality improvement orientation. Additionally, all staff are expected to develop a working knowledge of and follow all policies and procedures related to safety management and other Joint Commission standards. Time Type: Part time
