We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President to join our Investment Management & Insurance Institutional Lending team. This role is located in New York, NY / Hybrid. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Responsible for all credit facility components including origination, underwriting and documentation for large, complex credit facilities/credit relationships in the investment management and insurance industries.
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and manage existing and new accounts and client relationships.
- Leverage strong technical expertise to develop tailored credit solutions informed by research and market insights.
- Address complex challenges that directly affect credit quality and/or client experience.
- Collaborate closely with internal partners, including risk management, legal, and relationship managers across various lines of business-to ensure smooth execution of lending transactions.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing the bank's lending capabilities.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 10-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Background in risk analysis, institutional lending, or commercial banking is preferred.
- Experience in reviewing, analyzing and negotiating credit documents.
- Familiarity with investment management, regulated mutual funds, and the insurance industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
