Position is responsible to supervise the laundry attendants in the preparation of linen and terry products used by the Rooms and Food and Beverage divisions. Responsibilities include directing laundry attendants and washer operators to ensure that all laundry is sorted and prepared to pass through the wash, dry and finishing process in the most efficient manner. The Supervisor is also responsible for the correct and safe operation of all laundry equipment and assuring that all Laundry Team members maintain production standards. Additional responsibilities may include record keeping and taking inventories.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Directs the removal of damages/stained items for special processing
• Programs finishing equipment to process various types of linen and terry products
• Directs laundry attendants in feeding washed damp/dry linens on to ironer
• Directs laundry attendants in feeding dry terry products on to folder, or folds by hand
• Maintains production records; Ability to meet or exceed production standards
• Participates in monthly inventory of all linen and terry products, determines loss quantities and statistics
• Reports all equipment problems to engineering
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of all work areas
• Assigned other duties as required

Qualifications

• Ability to direct laundry attendants & washer operators
• Understanding of basic wash principles
• Knowledge of workflow through a simple laundry plant
• Ability to read basic instructions in English and basic writing skills
• Ability to understand safety instructions
• Ability to stand, bend and stoop repetitively during entire 8 hour shift
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., ability to push carts with 75 - 250 lbs
• Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Education:

• High school diploma

Experience:

• Minimum one year Supervisory experience preferred
