Director, Revenue Cycle Analytics

The Director, Revenue Cycle Analytics provides leadership and oversight of the Revenue Cycle Analytics and Payment Variance teams. This role involves the strategic development, facilitation and implementation of a data-driven approach to revenue cycle decision support. The Dir, Revenue Cycle Analytics provides industry leading practices for data analytics and performance benchmarking across the health system to improve financial performance and enhance the patient financial experience. This role acts as a strategic partner to system senior leaders and collaborates with finance and other key stakeholders in operational areas impacting financial reporting and data analytics. The Dir, Revenue Cycle Analytics reports to the System Director of Revenue Integrity.

Key Accountabilities:

• IT and networking collaboration and oversight: Serves as a liaison to IT in all matters related to the RC. Leads or attend meetings to move forward IT projects for the RC. Leads operational efforts that ensure quality IT processes for Epic or third-party vendor for RC.
• Team Development and Leadership: Oversees, leads and organizes the work of the RC analytics and reporting teams. Promotes a culture of high-performance continuous improvement that values learning a commitment to quality. Ensures team members receive timely and appropriate training and development. Coach's and develops staff using a supportive and collaborative approach.
• Strategy, Vision and Leadership of RC Analytics and Reporting: Provides leadership and oversite for all operational aspects of revenue cycle analytics and reporting functions. Ensures senior leadership and key stakeholders receive information that is accurate and timely for decision support. Provides oversite and leadership for patient financial experience insight and process improvement opportunities. Collaborates with revenue cycle leadership and key stakeholders on data analytics and decision support. Identifies and implements reporting improvements and efficient formats to ensure accurate and timely delivery. Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs). Highlights trends and identifies causes of unexpected variances. Assists Leadership in the identification of risks and opportunities through use of data analytics and reporting tools.
• Special Project Participation and Leadership: Leads, participates or drive solutions to special projects that come up from time-to-time within the revenue cycle or system.
• Revenue cycle data and analytics development & reporting: Provides strategic direction and oversight for RC analytics and reports. Ensures appropriate process and policies are implemented within RC analytics and reporting team to provide quality data integrity and timely delivery of all analytical decision support tools to RC leaders. Identifies new or enhanced improvement of opportunities through monitoring RC analytics. Collaborates with appropriate leadership and key stakeholders across all operational areas of the RC. Develops strategic plans to implement and monitor industry standard and best practice benchmarks to measure progress toward improving internal and financial performance while enhancing the RC.

Required:

• Five years revenue cycle management and/or healthcare finance experience
• Bachelor Degree
