The Salvation Army Midland Division Camp Mihaska located in Bourbon, Missouri, is looking for a part-time, 19 hours per week, Dining Hall Attendant. This is a as needed position that pays $14.00 per hour.

Essential Duties:



  • Set up and prepare the dining room prior to each meal.
  • Serve meals efficiently and courteously.
  • Remove the waste, dishes, food and drinks at the end of each meal.
  • Wash tables, sweep and mop the floor after each meal.
  • Report problems with staff and camper problems to the Food Services Supervisor.
  • Adhere to and enforce camp policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the kitchen as assigned.
  • Operate necessary kitchen equipment for food preparation and clean-up.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards campers and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Comply with The Salvation Army Safe From Harm guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers and supervisors. This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors and clients; respect of others' property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers and supervisors.


Qualifications:



  • Previous work in dinning and kitchen is desirable.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and self-starter able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Understand and support the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army Camp program.
