RN NURSING DIRECTOR - NURSING ADMINISTRATION - 40 HOURS WEEKLY - DAY SHIFT Full Time Benefit Eligible Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This position requires rotating 24/7 weekend call. GENERAL SUMMARY: Henry Ford St John Hospital's Nursing Administration team is looking for a Registered Nurse Director to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for leadership over various inpatient units, nursing excellence, and wound care. You will join a team of four additional nursing directors that oversee the inpatient nursing units, reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer. Interested in learning more? Apply now! Directs services, workflow and resources for one or more assigned nursing areas. Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system. Directs clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management. Prepares and monitors budget(s) and ensures that the assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds. Coordinates and directs internal and externally driven audits. Works collaboratively with physicians, administration and directors to develop streamlined operations where equipment, supplies and staff are utilized efficiently and resourcefully. Removes obstacles to achieving clinical quality, service excellence and financial effectiveness targets. Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. 5 years of experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. Proven skillset in the areas of management, regulatory compliance comprehension, finance, and consumer experience. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and successful collaboration with other healthcare professionals. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred. 10 years of experience preferred. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
