We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to support experimental work in immuno-oncology. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in T cell-based assays, high-dimensional flow cytometry, and basic molecular biology techniques, along with a strong interest in learning new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning and design of research projects as well as in developing and implementing goals and objectives of studies.
  • Execute and manage research projects using molecular biology (e.g. DNA/RNA extraction, RT- PCR, cloning, bacterial transformation, plasmid isolation, transfection), viral transduction of immune cells and CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing. immunohistochemistry, Western blot, tissue culture, and high dimensional flow cytometry including panel preparation, staining, data acquisition, and basic analysis.
  • Prepare solutions and culture media.
  • Collect, sort and processes tissue and blood samples.
  • Assist in CAR-T cell generation and functional testing.
  • Participate in murine model experiments, including injections, monitoring, and tissue collection.
  • Participate in regular lab meetings and actively engage in troubleshooting and protocol optimization.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret research data; assist with development and implementation of new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques. Perform critical analysis of literature relevant to research being undertaken.
  • Assist in the preparation of research grant proposals, research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at national and conferences and workshops, and in the writing of project reports, articles and other documents.
  • Maintain accurate records of protocols, results, and inventory and contribute to data organization and presentation.
  • Support inventory management and routine lab maintenance.
  • Train research staff; manage daily operations of the laboratory and coordinate periodic maintenance and testing of laboratory equipment.
  • Oversee and initiates procurement of lab supplies and equipment, and monitor expenses.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • 1 year previous experience in a research lab performing T cell-based assays, molecular biology, and gene editing techniques.
  • Comfort working with biosafety level 2 materials and human or animal tissue samples.
  • Requires successful completion of a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in high-dimensional flow cytometry (20+ colors), data compensation, and gating strategies.
  • Full-time hands-on experience involving T cell transduction, CAR constructs, or gene editing tools.
  • Prior experience with animal models of cancer or immune response.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to rapidly evolving experimental needs.
