Responsibilities Full-Time Staff Perfusionist Opportunity Location: Oklahoma City, OK The Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Perfusionist to join our exceptional seven-member perfusion team. This opportunity arises as we prepare for the retirement of a valued colleague. Our team proudly supports cardiac services across two campuses in the Oklahoma City area, serving five Cardiothoracic surgeons. About the Role Our annual caseload includes approximately 1,250 surgical procedures and over 250 standby cases, encompassing: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), including Off-Pump CABG (OPCABG). Valve and aortic procedures. In-house standby for specialized cases. As an OHH Perfusionist, you will: Conduct clinical perfusion and manage physiological functions during cardiopulmonary bypass. Administer blood products, anesthetic agents, or drugs through the perfusion circuit under surgeon or anesthesiologist supervision. Set up and manage intra-aortic balloon pumps and heart assist devices. Operate blood salvage systems during both cardiac and non-cardiac procedures. Perform ECMO management, heparin-protamine reversal tests, and active clotting time tests. Provide follow-up care until released by the primary surgeon or physician. Certification in Clinical Perfusion by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) (preferred). Documentation of at least seventy-five (75) clinical perfusions performed during the education program if not certified by ABCP. (Exceptions to this requirement may be made by the Board of Managers upon recommendation of the Medical Executive Committee based on comparable training or experience.)
