In the Financial Analyst role, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the financial aspects of the company. The goal is to ensure an efficient use of financial resources and that the financial integrity is guaranteed. Focusing on S&D controlling to ensure stability within the company's sales operations and collaborating closely with sales and marketing teams to provide insights that guide decision making.
This is an onsite position in our Ann Arbor, MI offices. What you will accomplish together with us:
- Under the local controller's general supervision, performs various functions in the accounting cycle, from general ledger review to financial analysis.
- Assist with monthly cost center review, adjustments, closing, reporting, and analytics.
- Participate in annual budget preparation, budget monitoring, and other financial reports required by the group and local controlling.
- Monthly review of Cost Center expenses focusing on understanding budget deviations.
- Monthly reconciliation of goods receipts and invoice receipts.
- Monthly review and adjustments of month-end sales/delivery cutoffs for proper revenue recognition.
- Monthly review and processing of service order settlements.
- Monthly/Quarterly adjusting journal entry preparation (inventory devaluation, warranties, and accruals).
- Ad hoc query reports/requests from Business Managers and/or Group/Local Controlling.
- Assist with financial reports as required by law (i.e., Government Census re
- Other duties / special projects as needed.
- Ability to travel (1-2 trips/year) with potential for international travel.
What will convince us:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related degree.
- 5+ years' experience in an accounting/finance position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with database and spreadsheet programs; experience in using financial/accounting and/or general ledger information systems.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
