Job Summary

The Product Data Associate is a data steward for business-critical enterprise information. Sales, PPM, Finance, Tax, Marketing and IT departments all rely on information that is controlled by the Product Data Associate. The Product Data Associate manages the new product introduction (NPI) process for CDW's product catalog. This involves executing financial controls, complying with audits, governing the CDW taxonomy process, creating and editing standard operating procedures (SOP), enforcing policies, auditing an international team of outsourced resources, transforming / loading data and delivering process improvement. The successful Product Associate manages the assigned product category with strong IT Channel product knowledge capable of delivering outstanding business outcomes. The Product Data Associate recognizes that Product Data drives revenue and proactively seeks opportunities to improve the data quality environment and identifies / mitigates risk.

What you'll do

• Responsible for ServiceNow ticket management application to maintain acceptable response times for NPI (New Product Introduction) requests
• Monitor and enforce financial controls ensuring compliance with SOX standards
• Enforce Hazmat compliance data requirements
• Leverage BI tools (Tableau) and databases (Access/SQL) to gain actionable insight into data
• Subject Matter Expertise in CDW's product data policy
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), cross-functional flow charts and other control, training and reference documentation
• Audit and evaluation of content created by international resources attached to the team
• Project Management related to CDW and team initiatives
• Facilitate data maintenance related to catalog records, product taxonomy, PIM (Product Information Management) and ERP systems
• Develop strong business relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, E-commerce, Purchasing, IT and Finance
• Work interdepartmentally and internationally to ensure consistency and efficiency of Product Data across the organization, including Canada, CDW UK and attached international outside services team

What we expect of you

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience in product data management, partner management, finance, marketing or related
• OR 6 years' experience in product data management, partner management, finance, marketing or related

Preferred skills, experience, and qualities needed

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (ex. Excel and Access)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Can effectively communicate with both business and IT stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve. Connecting business needs to the IT systems and data structures required to reliably deliver holistic solutions
• Demonstrated wide knowledge of IT channel technology and products
• Strong Attention to detail and customer focus
• Ability to effectively prioritize, follow-up, and meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects
• Previous experience in the technology industry
• Previous experience with MDM or PIM technologies and processes
• Proficient with Microsoft SSIS or another ETL application
• Experience with BI applications (ex. Tableau, Microsoft BI and Qlikview)

Pay range: $25.00/hour-$34.62/hour depending on experience and skill set
