The Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic leader to drive strategy, messaging and growth for our Communications, Media and Travel (CMT) industries. As the head of Adobe's Digital Strategy Group for these industries, you will deepen our customer value proposition and drive an effective industry go-to-market strategy. You will develop new perspectives and promote them through marketing and other channels. You will meet with senior customers and advise on major digital initiatives. As the CMT Transformation Director, you will partner with a diverse ecosystem of sales, customer success, solution consulting and digital strategists to bolster our value proposition and enable a coordinated go-to-market strategy. You will also engage with senior executives and partner organizations as an ambassador for our industry vision. This high-visibility role resides within the Americas Enterprise Sales organization and reports to the General Manager of CMT.

What You'll Do

  • Drive coordinated go-to-market strategies. Working closely with sales leadership, you will craft 3-year strategies to grow the Americas CMT businesses. You will orchestrate our strategy across the industry community, including sales, marketing, product, pre-sales, enablement, customer success, professional services and partners. Typical activities include go-to-market planning, advising marketing teams on industry messaging, working with product teams on customer needs and industry solutions, and enabling the field.

  • Develop and promote Adobe's industry point-of-view. You and your team would establish a compelling vision for your industries and author supporting thought leadership. This will address, for example, what are the major industry use cases for Adobe Experience Cloud? What does "outstanding" look like for digital experience, and what tactics are needed to operationalize? You will promote your perspectives through digital marketing, customer roundtables, industry events and other forums. You will have opportunities to collaborate with specialists across Adobe to craft a powerful point-of-view.

  • Advise executives on digital transformation. One your team's functions is to lead consulting engagements with customers and recommend strategies for digital transformation. Our Digital Strategy Group has methodologies and talent from top consulting firms to support this objective. You will also engage directly with senior customer leaders to build relationships and shareperspectives on success.

What you need to succeed

Your success is measured by driving growth in Adobe's CMT vertical by setting the vision for digital transformation in the space, and by positioning Adobe as a key strategic partner in this process.

  • Experience in Media & Entertainment (TV Networks/Studios, OTT Providers, digital-first Streaming platforms), either client-side or as a trusted adviser on digital and data initiatives (10+ years)

  • Experience leading successful programs for digital transformation, along with an understanding of technologies and tactics needed to operationalize them.

  • Entrepreneurial approach to finding new growth levers for the business.

  • Experience in the effective use and deployment of data for designing and managing products for measurement, collection, integration, segmentation, experience activation and monetization.

  • Outstanding executive presence and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and engage senior level executives.

  • Highly collaborative with ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment.

  • Exceptional written communication including interest in authoring thought-provoking points-of-view and conducting customer and market research.

  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills including talent for conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% (post-COVID)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $178,900 -- $310,300 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
