Job Summary:

The Cardiac MRI coordinator is responsible for the daily operation of the dynamic Cardiac MRI Program at ANW/MHI. Responsible for the smooth flow of department activities, recognizing when other staff members need assistance or other resources. Works closely with Nursing leadership to support patient care. Assists control tech on daily schedules and triages procedures based on priority level and skills needed. Researches and implements new imaging techniques working closely with Siemens. Develops protocols and implements quality performance standards. Thorough knowledge of post processing software for Cardiac MRI. Support outreach sites in quality image acquisition and image transfer.

Key Position Details:

**This position will be working in Cardiac MRI**
  • 1.0 FTE (80-hours per 2-week pay period)
  • 8-hour day/evening shifts
  • No weekends

Job Description:

Provides day-to-day leadership and direction for the Cardiovascular Radiology technologists and other staff, as directed by providers or radiologist, to provide timely and quality service to the patients. Follows department policies to maintain a safe, efficient and economical environment. Interacts with patients to welcome, explain and respond to questions or concerns during and following the procedure.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines including
    • Identifies patient with two identifiers.
    • Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure.
    • Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs.
    • Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area.
  • Performs procedures with high degree of accuracy
    • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment.
    • Maintains work knowledge and competence.
    • Gathers all relevant information to assist in interpretation of images.
    • Verifies all imaging has appropriately transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system.
  • Provides accurate clerical function
    • Uses Excellian (electronic medical record).
    • Understands the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System.
    • Ensures all documentation is complete post procedure.
  • Works to maintain daily work flow in CV Radiology area
    • Communicates with staff and other areas for patient readiness.
    • Provides feedback to staff regarding areas of improvement.
    • Reports to leadership problems, issues or ideas.
    • Gives assistance, information and ideas to support the work of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Vocational, Technical or Associate's Degree Program with an emphasis in Radiology Technology
  • 3+ years performing non-invasive exams
  • 3+ years lead/supervisor experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required must be registered
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required

Physical Demands

  • Light Work:
  • Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $39.19 to $53.72 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
