Position Summary
We are seeking a forward-leaning Associate Director, Technical Center to lead the coordination, operations, and growth of Odyssey's technical capabilities. This individual will serve as a key integrator across all ODY technical domains and domain delivery teams, ensuring strategic alignment, operational consistency, and the advancement of enterprise-wide technical excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building scalable systems, driving collaboration across technical and operational teams, and enabling strategic engagements that accelerate impact. The Associate Director will report to executive leadership and collaborate closely with technical domain capability leads, delivery managers, and business development to ensure the Technical Center supports both internal readiness and external opportunity capture.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate technical capabilities and initiatives across all Odyssey technical domains and domain delivery teams, fostering alignment, collaboration, and resource optimization. Lead daily operations of the Technical Center, including process development, capability integration, and cross-functional planning. Drive strategic engagements by aligning internal technical talent and reusable assets with high-priority pursuits, client challenges, and capture efforts. Support company growth through proposal development coordination, solution architecture integration, and readiness planning for key pipelines. - Scale matrixed and directly resourced teams through intentional structure, workforce planning, and use of enabling technologies-ensuring the right people, tools, and processes are in place to meet growing enterprise demands.
Develop and maintain an inventory of reusable technical artifacts, past performance data, and solution accelerators to support delivery and capture. Collaborate with capability leads to identify skills gaps, training needs, and workforce development strategies aligned to technical demand. Track performance metrics and operational KPIs to inform planning and executive decision-making. Partner with BD, delivery, and solution teams to ensure Odyssey's technical posture reflects client needs, industry trends, and mission requirements.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Additional Information: Location (can be any of the following): Lincoln, MA | Huntsville, AL | Colorado Springs, CO | Eglin AFB, FL | Dayton, OH Onsite: This position offers 40% telework flexibility with up to 50% travel, primarily to support strategic engagements, internal integration, and client-facing coordination activities across Odyssey's portfolio.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred. -
Minimum 7 years of experience in technical operations, program management, or project leadership, preferably in a federal contracting environment. -
Demonstrated experience with program and project management methodologies, including Agile frameworks, and the ability to manage initiatives from planning through execution and closeout. -
Strong understanding of federal mission systems domains, including but not limited to mission engineering, systems engineer, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, software development/DevSecOps, data engineering/science, and logistics. -
Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional and matrixed initiatives across distributed technical and delivery teams. -
Experience with risk management, including identifying, mitigating, and resolving technical and operational risks across complex programs. -
Demonstrated success in technical management, including driving capability development, managing technical roadmaps, and enabling delivery excellence through structured frameworks and tools. -
Experience leading technical process improvement and workflow optimization efforts, leveraging automation and data to scale operations and drive continuous improvement. -
Strong background in technical capabilities planning and product management within a services-oriented environment, aligning technical solutions with client needs, growth opportunities, and enterprise strategy. -
Demonstrated experience in partner engagement, including building trusted relationships with Defense customers, industry collaborators, and internal stakeholders. Able to present confidently, lead discussions, and represent Odyssey in high-visibility forums. -
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams. -
Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and scale operational systems in a dynamic environment. -
Eligible for a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a technical, business, or related field. -
Relevant professional certification such as PMP, SAFe, CISSP, AWS, or equivalent. -
Familiarity with federal acquisition, solutioning, and proposal development processes, particularly in support of defense and national security clients. -
Experience with tools for project tracking, knowledge management, and technical resource planning, such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project. -
Exposure to performance frameworks, quality systems, or agile delivery models, including SAFe, Scrum, or hybrid approaches. -
Demonstrated success managing or steering matrixed technical teams and delivering against complex program objectives to enable technical execution, business and talent growth, and product management. -
Experience applying emerging technologies, including large language models (LLMs), agentic systems, or other AI-driven capabilities to accelerate delivery, automate workflows, and support innovation. -
Familiarity with systems-based or software-based scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript) with the ability to apply them for automation, data integration, and workflow optimization. -
Strong understanding of data flows, platform architecture, and how systems interoperate to support scalable enterprise delivery and technical operations.
