The Lead Warehouse Associate is responsible for managing the activities of warehouse employees; prioritizes work assignments, allocates orders, and verifies that warehouse deliveries have been completed.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • Assists warehouse manager with development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by warehouse employees
  • Supervises all shipping, receiving, and packaging activities performed by the warehouse employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees in the warehouse
  • Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other departments
  • Communicate well with leadership, employees, and other departments
  • Monitor work quality to consistently deliver exceptional customer service both internally and externally
  • Processes, picks, pulls stock and schedules deliveries to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Ensures accurate inventory control
  • Maintains the company equipment in the warehouse including the delivery vehicles
  • Delivers products to customers, either in person or through other acceptable means (delivery service, will call, managing and scheduling driver (s), etc.)
  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with internal/external customers

A must...

  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong inventory skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified

Physical Requirements...

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
