Logistics Manager - Newark, CA

Matheson is a safety conscious company. The
safety of our Employees, Customers and Drivers is our first priority and
paramount to our daily operations. Matheson operates a network of 37 Air
Separation Plants and 10 CO2 Plants throughout the United States that
manufacture liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon and CO2.

Position Summary of Duties:

Set safety standards for the team and influence team members outside of the
position scope to ensure the strength of the MATHESON safety culture.
Champion of customer service.
Employ a proactive mindset to anticipate operational/logistics concerns that
impact our customers; mitigating potential service disruptions.
Team oriented mindset that is open to input from a variety of sources to make
the best decisions.
Manage to set metrics and service levels regarding the bulk business.
Manage 2-3 Teams vs the metrics and service levels that are expected
24/7 position, holidays and weekends as required to ensure customer service is
achieved
Implement Force Majeure and track associated cost.

Strong
commitment to workplace safety and environment.
Advanced proficiency with systems engagement and Microsoft office Suite.
High interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work with field teams.
Able to work with people at a higher and lower level with a cooperative
attitude.
Positive mental attitude that is committed to customer service and being a
customer champion.
Detailed and careful with work assignments, but driven to meet timelines.
A problem solver that is proactive and can work through concerns without
necessarily needing all the data/details to move forward with solutions.
Work in a stationary office environment that will require extensive
communication over the phone.
Ability to be on-call 24/7 to assist with product supply issues as needed.
4-year college degree is preferred but not required, career experience will be
reviewed to compensate if candidate does not possess a 4-year college degree.
