Job Description (General Summary)
The Global Inventory Controller / Excellence Lead is responsible for managing the global inventory health across Intralox's MPB and ThermoDrive operations. As the global steward for tactical and operational inventory management practices of the organization, this role ensures inventory visibility, optimization, and disciplined execution while balancing service levels, working capital, and operational efficiency. This position will work HYBRID from one of our locations in the Greater New Orleans area or Hammond, Louisiana.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Global Inventory Health Ownership: Monitor and control inventory health across all global warehouses and distribution center(s), ensuring optimal stock levels, minimal excess, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Inventory Strategy & Optimization: Develop and implement inventory policies and replenishment strategies to balance service levels, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Inventory Visibility & Performance Tracking: Establish and maintain real-time global inventory visibility and track KPIs such as inventory turnover, days on hand, and obsolescence to drive data-based decision-making.
  • Demand & Supply Alignment: Work with Regional Supply Chain Planners to ensure inventory availability aligns with business needs while effectively managing new products, slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock.
  • Supply Chain Risk Mitigation: Identify potential inventory risks, including shortages, excess stock, and supply disruptions, and implement proactive mitigation plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with warehousing, manufacturing/assembly, production planning, procurement, product management, commercial, and finance teams to ensure alignment between inventory targets and operational/financial objectives.
  • Process Improvement & Technology Utilization: Continuously enhance inventory management processes, leveraging ERP, automation, and advanced analytics to improve stock availability, and service levels, in partnership with the supply chain analysts.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Provide inventory insights for facility expansion, product-service portfolio optimization, and supply network design, supporting long-term business success.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field required; Master's degree (MBA/MS) and APICS CPIM certification preferred.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in inventory management, supply chain planning, or related disciplines within multinational, multi-site environments.
  • Proven ability to optimize inventory performance and drive operational efficiency across complex global supply networks.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and inventory management tools; experience with advanced analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and cross-functional collaboration with operations, finance, product management, and supply chain teams.
  • Effective at influencing without formal authority and aligning diverse, global stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and a track record of building systems and driving process standardization.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones as needed.
** This position is not remote, but will be hybrid. (2-3 days in office and/ or from home) This hire will work from either of our locations in Louisiana: Hammond or the Greater New Orleans area, specifically Harahan.
