Type: Exempt, Salary

Compensation: $88,600 - $141,800 per year (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs)

As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you'll... The Senior HR Business Partner will provide senior-level support to the HR Director, including leading HR initiatives, Workday HCM support, updating employee handbooks with policy updates, compliance reporting, providing training on HR topics and guidance to HR Partners.   • Travel expectations: May have periodic travel (including out of state) to different Tessera locations to support HR Partners or to perform HR functions.

  • Provide professional and knowledgeable HR guidance HR Partners and Managers to ensure Tessera's policies, employee handbooks, Collective Bargaining Agreements and Federal, State employment laws are interpreted and implemented fairly and consistently.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Tessera's strategic goals. Research, develop and recommend new approaches, policies and processes, to effect continual improvements of Human Resource processes and services.

  • Create and conduct presentations, training and workshops regarding Human Resource functions, Workday processes, laws, procedures, and other organizational development efforts. Create and update training guides and presentations.

  • Communicate proactively with Home Office HR team members to promote transparency. Effectively communicate strategic HR initiatives across all levels of the organization.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Federal, State, local and Government Contractor legal requirements and laws and ensures compliance. Works with legal counsel as needed.

  • Investigate, document and respond to complex complaints, grievances, harassment allegations, and Human Rights Commission or EEOC complaints.

  • Provide counsel on applicable employment laws, rules, policies, program requirements and options; analyze, interpret and apply complex human resource rules in resolving problems.

  • Support HR Partners and Managers on writing job descriptions, disciplinary actions, Performance Improvement Plans, and termination letters to ensure Tessera's position is accurately and professionally communicated.

  • Ensure recruitment methodologies and hiring practices follow government regulations and organizational policies and procedures. Acts as an additional talent acquisition resource for Managers across the organization, if necessary.

  • Oversee Tessera's Department of Transportation CDL physical and drug screening requirements. Works with HR Coordinator to ensure Tessera is compliant with DoT record keeping requirements, screenings and certifications.

  • Recommend changes for continual improvement and maintenance of Workday, Tessera's HCM System.

  • Assists with various reports such as EEO - 1 and Vets 4212 reporting. Responsible for completion of annual Affirmative Action plans and certification.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Tessera Senior Human Resources Business Partner:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources is required.

  • 5 - 8 years of previous experience in Human Resources is required.

  • A combination of previous experience and education will be considered.

  • SHRM or HRCI certification is preferred.

  • Workday HCM experience is preferred.

  • Microsoft Office experience is preferred.

  • Previous experience with Employment Law, Policies, Labor, and/or Employee Relations is preferred.

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
