The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Hospitalist Program provides specialized, efficient and coordinated care for our hospitalized patients. The nocturnal hospitalist observes his or her patient's status, progress and test results up to several times, as needed.

Primary Respnsibilities:



  • Responding to ER calls and admitting patients in the assigned hospital(s) 7pm to 7am (number of shifts can be decided amongst the team to ensure coverage every night)
  • The nocturnal hospitalist will be required to stay in house for the duration of the shift. They will be responsible for all calls regarding admissions to Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center
  • The nocturnal hospitalist will not be the primary on Kelsey-Seybold patients admitted to the intensive care units at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center
  • Expected to efficiently manage patients in hospital and interact with specialists to coordinate the care
  • Transition the follow up care to the daytime hospitalist safely and effectively
  • Participate in hospital committees, initiatives, and KSC Hospital Service/IM Department activities

Required Qualifications:



  • Active Texas medical license
  • Internal Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation



Preferred Qualification:



  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency



Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $260,000 to $387,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
