HOLT Truck Centers of San Antonio are looking for an Equipment Coordinator who is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities pertaining to both new and used sales equipment. The position also manages safely locating, receiving, inspecting, verifying, and documenting assets in a yard environment. This position will also provide inventory counts and operate various types and sizes of equipment.

Job Summary:

The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities pertaining to both new and used Sales equipment. The position also manages safely locating, receiving, inspecting, verifying, and documenting assets in a yard environment. This position will also provide inventory counts and operate various types and sizes of equipment.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:



  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Acts as the primary contact for sales employees as it pertains to Sales, Demos, Loaners, Heavy Rentals, and RPOs
  • Assists, until able to manage, all logistics from order through delivery with transport, parts and service to meet customer requests; this could encompass order receiving, knowledgeable equipment sourcing, account set up, and delivery
  • Ensures accurate process is followed according to HOLT Truck Centers standards and practices
  • Schedules delivery and pick-up of inventory
  • Verifies and documents all assets arriving and/or departing sales yard
  • Accurately stages and preps assets to fulfill needs
  • Conducts inspect procedures, fuels, and reports the condition of assets per safety protocols
  • Provides timely updates for all inventory items leaving and/or returning to the yard
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other related duties and fulfill responsibilities as required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Effective utilization of organizational planning, self-management, analytical problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong planning and coordination skills
  • Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations, and detect situations of concern
  • Intermediate MS Office Excel and PowerPoint skills; Advanced MS Word skills
  • Ability to interact with tact and courtesy and maintain a professional manner
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Ability to conduct safety assessments before starting a task


Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Up to one year of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred


    Physical Requirements:



    • This position involves extended periods on their feet
    • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
    • Significant amount of time standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, and twisting
    • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
    • Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work


    Work Environment:



    • Intermediate work outdoors
    • May be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
    • Noise level may be loud at times
    • Requires wearing personal protective or safety equipment (PPE)
    • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
